Our
History
Women in National Security is a professional student organization founded in 2023 at Syracuse University to amplify the voices of women in the Intelligence Community (IC), while connecting and inspiring those interested in similar career paths.
Since the organization's inception, we have led informational sessions on the roles of IC elements and prominent women in the field, facilitated discussions on relevant issues, and hosted several guest speakers, providing our members with opportunities to learn from and ask questions to various professionals with experience in national security entities such as the DIA, DHS, DOS, and FBI. WINS aims to create an expansive network of students, faculty, and professionals to foster productive discussion and support one another in pursuing careers related to national security, government, and intelligence.
1. To provide members with information regarding women’s role in government-related historical events.
